Brazil are still hoping to convince Carlo Ancelotti to be their next head coach.

The five-time world champions have been without a head coach since Tite left following the World Cup in Qatar in December last year.
Ancelotti has been the nation's number one target for the post despite suggestions from the Italian that he is happy at Real Madrid.
“Everyone knows really well what my situation is. I have contract until the end of the 2024 season and I want to stay,” he said earlier this month.
CBF president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, had set May as the deadline for deciding on the next coach but is set to extend that in the hope of persuading Ancelotti.
Roma's Jose Mourinho, Fenerbahce's Jorge Jesus, Fluminense's Fernando Diniz and Palmeiras' Abel Ferreira are also admired by the Brazilian FA but Ancelotti remains the priority.
Brazil face Guinea and then Cameroon in June with Ramon Menezes, who is also leading Brazil's Under-20 side at the World Cup in Argentina, set to be in charge of both, just as he was for the defeat by Morocco in March.
The CBF are keen to wait for Ancelotti ahead of those games with qualification for the expanded 2026 World Cup also seen as relatively straightforward with five places now on offer plus a sixth via a play-off.
The world's number-three ranked side were eliminated from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the quarter-final stage after a penalty shootout defeat by Croatia.
Ancelotti was in charge as Real Madrid beat Sevilla in La Liga. They close out their season against Athletic Bilbao next weekend.

dude while i agree about Ancelotti i strongly disagree with Zidane. Dude won 3 ucl 1st time because he inherited best team in europe. his second time when Ronaldo left and players were old he was worse than ancelotti and was giving time to the old guard instead of young hungry players. playing Marcelo and Fatzard all the time. Zidane second stint won us 2 trophies in his second time in 2 and a half years and we played terrible football under him. Ancelotti won 6 in 2 years. stats dont lie
In as much as one could inherit a standardized team, bad management could destroy the entireity! Per ur assertion there's no doubt about the two coaches very irrelevant in today's world of football...agreed! We need a new revolution in our setup🥰... Thanks, though!!

This man should simply take up the Brazillian job & leave the shores of Madrid.... His continuous presence as the headcoach of Madrid will damage our young & talented guys...He'll never consider using any of them & will always opt for the weak & old guards..... During Zidanes first & second instincts as a manager, he was able to raise first & second team of best standards... That propelled us through wining three consecutive times in a role the champion's league trophy. Carlo is absolutely a static coach with no plan B option...
