Brazil forward Rodrygo bizarrely brushed legendary striker Ronaldo's legs in a bid to transfer some of his goal-scoring magic over to him during the 2022 World Cup.
The Real Madrid star, who has notched seven goals and added five assists this season, sat down with 2002 World Cup winner Ronaldo as part of an interview for FIFA.
The youngster discussed the experience of his first World Cup so far and the loss of PSG superstar Neymar to injury among many other things.
He was also questioned whether he would be ready to fill that void should Neymar not return from his ankle injury for the knock-out stages.
The second all-time World Cup goalscorer Ronaldo with an impressive 15 goals to his name, ended the interview by telling the young forward: 'Go with everything, good luck! The whole of Brazil is rooting for you. Thanks!'
It got bizarre after the 21-year-old clapped hands with the legendary striker before brushing hands over his legs, much to his surprise.
Rodrygo then run his hands back over his own legs, almost as if he was trying to rub Ronaldo's luck onto him, with a video of the bizarre scene going viral.
He has been limited to two appearances from the bench in Brazil's opening two group-stage victories, where they have beaten both Serbia and Switzerland.
The forward got 15 minutes against Serbia and 45 minutes against Switzerland, and he even grabbed an assist in the latter match for his pass to Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
Next up for Brazil is Cameroon in their final group-stage encounter and with qualification to the knock-out stages already cemented, boss Tite could use the match to rotate his side, handing out chances to potentially key squad players such as Rodrygo.
Rodrygo will be hoping he has rubbed a touch of magic onto his legs from Ronaldo, given that he has scored more World Cup goals than any other player in Brazil’s history, including the great Pele.
He has also lifted the World Cup on two occasions in both 1994 and 2002 - winning those along with plenty at club level has left the striker regarded as one of the best players ever.
Much like Ronaldo, Rodrygo will be keen to become a star for his nation, despite having only scored once in nine caps so far.

don't you have eyes Aren't you watching Brazil's game?[Crylaugh] He is starting ahead of rodrygo and warming him in bench But he is also a great player no disrespect
Bro some coaches have their favorite players. Look at Foden and TAA in England, they're no starting because Southgate doesn't like them and it doesn't mean they're bad players. Rodrygo is better than Raphinha and that's fact.
