According to Tuttosport, Marcelo Brozovic has snubbed a move to Real Madrid to sign a new contract with Inter until 2026.
Multiple reports in Italy claim that the Croatia international put pen to paper on a new deal with the Serie A giants yesterday. His contract was due to expire in the summer, but he has now extended his stay at San Siro until 2026.
The 29-year-old will earn €6m plus add-ons and his salary will increase through his stay at the club. According to Tuttosport newspaper, he snubbed a bigger offer from Real Madrid to commit his future to Inter.
The Merengues directors were convinced that Brozovic had everything to become a key player at the Santiago Bernabeu and even his compatriot Luka Modric was pushing for Brozovic’s move to the Spanish capital.
Brozovic has played a key role for Inter this season, missing just three games this term. Inter picked up just one point from the two Serie A games played without the Croatian star and needed extra time to beat Empoli in a Coppa Italia clash in January.

I'm glad he stayed back at Inter. Brozovic, Barella, Bastoni, Skrinar, De Vrij and Lautaro are the key players, and the team needs to be built around these players.

He is a good player but Florentino is no interest in signing almost 30 years old players. Our top priority for midfield is Tchouameni.
