On January 17, according to reports from Cadena COPE, some Real Madrid fans plan to gather near the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at 12:00 local time to wait for the team and boo during the match.

Considering that some fans have already shown signs of anger, and in order to prevent the situation from escalating further, Real Madrid has issued an appeal to supporters in the "Fondo Norte" (the club's most passionate fan section), urging them to cheer for the team rather than boo the players. At 14:00 local time this Saturday, Real Madrid will host Levante at the Bernabéu. Head coach Álvaro Arbeloa publicly appealed for fan support during his pre-match press conference. This comes after the club suffered two consecutive trophy losses within three days—losing the Spanish Super Cup to Barcelona and then being eliminated from the Copa del Rey following an away defeat to Albacete. Between these two defeats, the club dismissed head coach Xabi Alonso, and former Real Madrid defender Álvaro Arbeloa ultimately took over the reins.

Arbeloa stated that he fully understands the fans' "hurt and disappointment," but pleaded with them to support the team: "I deeply respect the feelings of the fans inside the Bernabéu. I understand that Madridistas feel hurt and disappointed by our recent results, but I still want to ask you all to support our players. Throughout Real Madrid’s 123-year history, our greatest achievements and trophies have always been won when the Bernabéu stood firmly behind the players. As Juanito once said, ‘Ninety minutes at the Bernabéu can be very long’—but he wasn’t referring to ninety minutes of booing our own players; he meant ninety minutes of unwavering support for them at the Bernabéu. That is precisely what I’m asking of my fans: even if you’re disappointed, please stand with us, support us, and help make this season as beautiful as everyone hopes it can be."

According to Cadena COPE, some fans have already taken action on social media, planning to assemble at noon at Plaza del Sagrado Corazón, near the Bernabéu, to await the team’s arrival. Affected by the recent string of losses and the managerial change, many Real Madrid supporters remain furious, and the situation remains highly volatile. Several fan groups and individual supporters have used social media to call for demonstrations of discontent, such as waving white handkerchiefs or booing when the starting lineup appears on the stadium’s electronic scoreboard. Typically, the intensity of boos varies depending on each player’s recent performances.

In recent La Liga and Champions League matches, fans have consistently booed certain players for much of the game, and similar scenes are highly likely to recur in the upcoming match against Levante. It remains uncertain whether the booing will extend to the VIP box area. It is reported that Real Madrid is closely monitoring the current situation. In light of the developments on social media and Arbeloa’s public appeal for support during his press conference, the club has formally requested that fan associations in the most loyal supporter sections do their utmost to avoid booing.
