Carles Alena set to play for Barcelona B this Saturday

Carles Aleñá is being integrated into the first team squad step by step.

After an unfortunate injury the young midfielder, who is part of the first team picture now, has fully recovered and showed against Betis that he's ready to grasp his opportunity. Although the player knows it's going to be difficult at a club like Barça to feature regularly with the senior squad.

And whilst training alongside Messi, Suarez, Rakitic and company is great he'll also need to drop down and play for Barça B when needed.

This week, as it's an international break, Ernesto Valverde has given his senior players four days off. They won't return to the training pitch until Tuesday morning but Aleña isn't so lucky.

The midfielder has trained this Friday under the orders of Garcia Pimienta, and the rest of the Barça B squad, and is expected to start for the youth side this weekend.

Barça B take on Cornella this Saturday at 17:00 and Sport can confirm that Aleña, after being named in the squad, will be involved.
