Casado: As long as the coach and the club want to keep me, I will defend the Barcelona emblem with my life]

Reporter: Good morning, Marc. I imagine it must be a great honor for a player to have a football summer camp named after him.

M. Casado: Yes, the preparation process was not easy, but it is wonderful to see the results. The whole process was complex, with many challenges that had to be solved one by one, but we knew from the beginning what we would face. I am especially happy to spend quality time with the children. I hope they fully enjoy football, meet new partners, and make new friends. When I attended summer camp as a child, those were my most precious memories, so now I am filled with joy.

Reporter: The children must be particularly excited to see you. In just two years, you have become a benchmark for young players. How has your life changed over these two years?

M. Casado: I always say that everything in football can change in an instant, so it’s crucial to be fully prepared and give your all in every game. You never know which opportunity, which moment, will completely change your life.

Two years ago, it was the same for me. At that time, I couldn't see my future at all, but I was fortunate enough to seize the opportunity and hold on to it firmly. This is key for players looking to make a career breakthrough. Now, I am thoroughly enjoying the present; it still feels like a dream to have worn the Barcelona first-team jersey for two years.

Reporter: It’s easy for top players to get carried away. Under the spotlight, who keeps you grounded and level-headed?

M. Casado: Everyone around me is very down-to-earth and always keeps me in check. However, I haven’t changed, and I interact with my family and friends as usual. Sometimes I intentionally make outrageous jokes, and they tell me to “tone it down.” I occasionally tease them on purpose to see if it annoys them.

Reporter: Mental preparation is becoming increasingly important in football. Many of your teammates, seek sports psychology counseling, as Ferran Torres does. Do you as well?

M. Casado: Yes, I believe psychological counseling is an indispensable part of football. I think all players should try it. Some people don’t like it or are unwilling to engage, but psychological guidance can help anyone. I currently work regularly with a sports psychologist, Ángel Capellán. Ferran and Eric Garcia also see him. He is very professional and has helped us tremendously.

Reporter: How did you start receiving psychological counseling?

M. Casado: I saw a huge change in Ferran's state, so I asked him, "Your change is amazing. Can you give me the contact information for your psychologist to see if he can help me adjust my state too?"

After meeting him, I found him to be very reliable. Nowadays, all eyes in football are on the players, and the pressure on us young players is immense. Psychological counseling can effectively alleviate anxiety. Over time, we gradually adapt to external attention, but this pressure always exists.
