Casemiro and Kroos are waiting for Modric

The trio of Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric has been Zinedine Zidane's go-to midfield during his successful time in charge of Real Madrid.

Casemiro has started the season in imperious form at the base of the three, proving to be one of the club's most important players.

Having had a summer of rest and relaxation, Kroos has returned to form after the below par performances of last season.

Then there's Modric, who hasn't been at his best so far, with suspensions and injuries disrupting his campaign and form.

The Croatian returned to the Real Madrid side at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano and, with Casemiro and Kroos demonstrating their qualities again, it's time for Modric to join them.

He could start Los Blancos' Champions League clash with Club Brugge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
