Casemiro has revealed the conversation he had with Jose Mourinho during their time together at Real Madrid.
Mourinho gave the Brazilian midfielder his debut at Los Blancos and he has gone on to become one of the club's most influential players.
"'I know you, I know who you are," Casemiro said to Revista Libero about what Mourinho told him in the hotel before his Real Madrid debut.
"Go out and burst the first ball. That's what the [Estadio Santiago] Bernabeu loves.
"I remember leaving the hotel room thinking I was the best defensive midfielder in the world.
"Brazilian children now dream of playing for Real Madrid; in my era, I dreamed of leaving the neighbourhood."
