Filipe Luis is a movie buff and Enrique Cerezo, his former president at Atletico Madrid, made his fortune in the cinema business, so the two men must have shared several interesting conversations over the years.
It seems that Filipe Luis must have expressed a desire to meet Clint Eastwood in one of these discussions, but that encounter never came to be.
"We couldn't give you that meeting with Clint Eastwood," Cerezo said on Sunday at the left-back's farewell.
"But maybe it was because Clint Eastwood doesn't travel too much, so it wasn't to be.
"I hope that one day he can meet you."
