Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa are all in the Champions League this season and now know their opponents after Thursday's draw
The five Premier League teams in this season's Champions League have discovered their opponents after the draw took place in Monaco.
Last season's beaten finalists Arsenal will host Real Madrid in one of the stand-out ties, while also travelling to play Bayern Munich in Bavaria. Liverpool will welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield and travel to the San Siro to play Inter Milan, meaning a quick reunion for Curtis Jones following his Β£30million transfer to the Italian giants.
Manchester City, who only scraped through the league phase last season, face a tricky game against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain as well as a trip to Barcelona. PSG also take on Aston Villa, as well as Barcelona.
Manchester United will host Bayern at Old Trafford in a rematch of the famous 1999 Champions League final, while Michael Carrick's side will also play Atletico Madrid away and Roma at home.
Aston Villa's reward for their Europa League win is ties against PSG (home), Barcelona (away) and Borussia Dortmund (home).
Overall there are 36 teams involved, with every side playing eight games - four home and four away - meaning 144 matches in total in the league phase.
The five English clubs cannot face each other in the league phase, while UEFA have also introduced a new real for this season which prevents teams who have previously faced each other in the previous two seasons from meeting each other again. It meant that Liverpool vs Real Madrid and Inter Milan vs Arsenal could not be repeated in the 2026/27 league phase.
The full fixtures and dates will be released by UEFA by Saturday, but they will be spread across September 8, 9, 10, October 13 and 14, October 20 and 21, November 3 and 4, November 24 and 25, December 8 and 9, January 19 and 20 and January 27. For the time being, here are the ties without dates.
