Gabri Veiga issues transfer stance amid Chelsea links

Gabri Veiga insists he wants to “live in the present” amid speculation that five top English clubs are battling to sign the midfielder. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs to be linked with the Spaniard.

“I’m not here to talk about my future, only my present. I want to be in the final [squad] of the Europeans,” he said, referring to the upcoming Under-21 European Championships in Romania and Georgia.

Veiga recently changed his representative, with the experienced Israeli Pini Zahavi now his new agent. Veiga admitted: “It’s been a bit of a mess.

"I left my [agent] and then I took some time off. I went with the one that I think is the best and I think I’ve matured a lot.

“I don’t think about my future, I want to live in the present and the national team. What I want for my future is to be in the European Championship, because there is still the final list, and then to win it. I am here in the national team, in a very nice challenge.”

Pochettino given Chelsea transfer boost

Chelsea have been given a huge boost in their transfer pursuit of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer. The Blues are set to meet with the Italian outfit following their UEFA Champions League final loss against Manchester City - with the future of Romelu Lukaku set to be discussed.

According to The Sun, Chelsea have now been handed a boost as they remain interested in Champions League runner-up Onana, with Inter having already identified a replacement. The report states that Simone Inzaghi's side have found a replacement in Guglielmo Vicario, Empoli's goalkeeper, and will push to sign the shot-stopper ahead of next season.

The Sun also state that Pochettino is a 'huge admirer' of Onana and is 'eager to get a deal done' for the goalkeeper. The 27-year-old put in a brilliant performance in Istanbul against City and was unfortunate to be on the losing side.

Kylian Mbappe transfer demand approved

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe will be hoping his ongoing feud with Neymar comes to an end this summer with the French outfit open to selling the Brazilian. Neymar has received a transfer proposal from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal despite interest from Chelsea in signing the the 31-year-old.

PSG are looking to sell Neymar and reduce their wage bill ahead of next season as they look to revamp their squad. Lionel Messi has signed for MLS side Inter Miami after his two-year spell in Paris came to an end.

The Argentina World Cup winner is said to have acted as a ‘mediator’ to help quell the ongoing discontent between Mbappe and Neymar. Following Messi's exit, PSG are looking to sell Neymar with Al-Hilal representatives flying to France to negotiate a deal for the Brazilian - as per CBS Sports.

This comes just months after Chelsea owner Todd Boehly help a meeting with the French club to discuss Neymar's availability this summer. The American co-owner reportedly flew into Paris in February to meet with PSG chiefs ahead of the first leg of their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
