Cucurella: Real Madrid is europe's greatest club; I didn't hesitate when the opportunity came

After reporting for duty, Real Madrid's new signing Cucurella was interviewed by the club's TV channel.

In the video, Cucurella said: "I'm very happy, I've waited a long time, the process was a bit lengthy, but I'm finally here. Today I trained with my teammates, met everyone, and I'm very much looking forward to getting to know everyone gradually, deepening our understanding of each other, and I hope this will be a great season.

I feel incredibly proud. I don't think many people can say they've worn this jersey. We've witnessed the birth of many great legends. This is a club with a rich history, and the greatest club in Europe. To be here today is a privilege, an honor for me, and the best reward for all the hard work I've put in throughout my career.

Very good, everything is very good. I couldn't wait to see them early on. I had already spoken with a few teammates who messaged me. Anyway, the welcome ceremony was great. Although today was tough and long, I'm already starting to find my rhythm. Training step by step, because the exciting matches are about to begin.

Full of confidence, and very natural. Do what we're good at on the field, and most importantly, enjoy it. I believe this is also our common goal, which is to win and have a great season.

Passion, personality, happiness, I think there's a bit of all of these. I'm a very hardworking person. Facing so many incredibly talented players, as long as we are united and closely cohesive as a team on and off the field, I believe we can achieve great things.

As a player, and as a child who started playing football from a young age, when given the opportunity to join a club like this, I think it's hard to refuse. When the opportunity came, I didn't hesitate for a moment. After all, as a spectator, I have also witnessed those magical nights, those incredible comebacks at the Bernabéu, and the Champions League trophies they lifted. To be able to experience all of this firsthand and be part of a great endeavor is undoubtedly a heavy responsibility, but at the same time, it is also a very beautiful and immensely significant challenge.

Looking forward to playing our first home game, and looking forward to meeting the fans. I have played at the Bernabéu as an away player, and I have also played here for the national team. Now, to experience all of this as a home player, to listen to the team anthem, to feel the enthusiasm of the fans, especially the scene when the team bus arrives at the stadium, which I have seen in some documentaries, the atmosphere during big matches is stunning. All of this is wonderful, and will become a precious memory that I will never forget in my life.
