The newspaper La Vanguardia has published an article in which it describes the Brazilian's day-to-day life in prison, based on the testimonies of "multiple sources, official and unofficial, from inside and outside the prison". According to this information, the way Alves has handled the switch is "exemplary".

Alves reportedly shares a cell, with someone he already knows from the past. He is a Brazilian, known as Coutinho, who was a bodyguard for former Barcelona player Ronaldinho and a bouncer at a number of nightclubs in the city.

It's not Philippe Coutinho, the former Barcelona player who shared a dressing room with Alves for the Brazilian national team.

Alves' cellmate, convicted of sexual assault, is in charge of teaching the footballer about prison routines, prison life, timetables and do's and don'ts.

According to sources quoted by the newspaper El Periodico, the role of Alves' cellmate is very important, because, given the judge's strong decision and the extensive, documented and detailed investigation by the police, everything seems to indicate that the Brazilian could spend a long time in prison because, as the judge detected, the danger that, given his economic capacity, he could flee Spain, is not only very possible, but very easy.

Alves' routine in Brians 2 prison is the same as that of the rest of the prisoners. The day starts at 08:00 and ends at 22:00, when the lights go out in all the modules.

According to La Vanguardia, Alves has already played his first football match with the other inmates. It happened last Thursday and the presence of the Brazilian in the game raised a huge expectation in the prison yard among his fellow inmates, who wanted to see him play.
