Barcelona have been pressing Martin Braithwaite to leave the club all summer in order to balance their books and sign new players.
The Danish striker is aiming to complete the two years left on his contract and will not accept the club's offer to release him.
Michael Sahl Hansen, director of the Danish Players' Association, gave his opinion in the Danish press on the situation Braithwaite is suffering at Barcelona.
"The treatment Braithwaite is experiencing is completely unreasonable. It is probably somewhere between bullying and harassment. It's disgraceful how Barcelona are trying to get him out of his contract, out of his job. A player who came to their rescue when they were under pressure is now in disgrace. Where is the decency," Hansen wrote.
"A contract is a contract and Barcelona and Braithwaite committed themselves for two more years. Martin must continue to live up to his part of the agreement. And so must Barcelona. And furthermore, it would befit one of the biggest clubs in the world to treat their players with more respect," said the head of the Danish Players' Association.

Contract is a contract; in case one of the parties doesn't fulfill its part, the one that did no wrong should never be blamed for something he didn't do ofc. It's the other way around. Barça is not fulfilling its part of the contract. It has money to buy Levandowski, Raphinha and so on but can't pay part of the salary of some players like De Jong, to say the least.
