David Sanchez: There's no shame in this Barcelona squad

Barcelona's 3-0 loss to Juventus cost them first place in their Champions League group and came as a huge blow to the club's fans.

As Barcelona fan and Radio MARCA journalist David Sanchez explained after the Tuesday night game, there's a need for an overhaul.

"That was horrifyingly ridiculous from Barcelona and it confirms the fall of this squad that is no longer at the level to compete in the Europa League or LaLiga Santander or, of course, in the Champions League," he said.

"Many things were made clear, the first being that this team needs to be renewed. The second is that Lionel Messi should leave if he wants to be happy because he won't find happiness at Barcelona. The third thing is that it's a squad lacking in quality.

"Right now, I hope that Clement Lenglet has signed a restraining order to not be within 100 kilometres of Barcelona.

"Antoine Griezmann has shown that he's not capable of leading a project like Barcelona's.

"Miralem Pjanic was complaining in the press last week, but he should pay money to play for Barcelona.

"In conclusion, this squad needs change from top to bottom and there's a need to trust in the likes of Riqui Puig and Pedri so that they can compete again in LaLiga Santander and the Champions League in approximately two or three years.

"The squad today has shown that they don't have shame or pride or, in many cases, talent."
