On June 3, Beijing time (CEST), Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente was a guest on the Cadena SER program "El Larguero," where he had an in-depth conversation with host Manu Carreño about the team's current situation and the upcoming World Cup journey.

When asked about the absence of Real Madrid players in the current Spain squad for the first time, the national team coach, who hails from La Rioja, gave a clear and firm response.

"Am I surprised? Not at all, because I understand the potential of Spanish football; top players don't just come from Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Atletico Madrid. Many excellent players have emerged from numerous domestic teams. It is precisely because of our comprehensive and detailed understanding of Spanish football that we ultimately selected this group of players whom we believe are currently the most suited to the team's tactical philosophy."

Carreño further pressed, "But this is the first time in World Cup history that Spain's squad does not include any Real Madrid players."

De la Fuente responded: "I am not concerned about this situation. I only hope that enough Spanish players can reach the national team level and have the ability to participate in the World Cup. Real Madrid and other teams may have such players, but we are convinced that these 26 individuals are the most suitable candidates for the team at present."
