According to RMC Sport, after winning all three group stage matches at the FIFA World Cup, France will face Sweden in the round of 16, with Deschamps expected to stick with the starting lineup used during the group stage.
All key players present
Deschamps is expected to rely on most of his key players. Goalkeeper Maignan will retain his place in goal, while central defense will feature the familiar Upamecano-Saliba partnership. Barcelona's Kounde will anchor the right flank. On the left flank, Digne is expected to replace Theo Hernandez, who started against Norway.
In midfield, Rabiot and Tchouameni, who started together in the group-stage match against Senegal, are expected to feature in the starting lineup again for this round of 16 match. Kouadio Kone, who started France's last two group matches, may be on the bench this time.
Finally, in attack, Mbappé, Dembélé, and Olise seem set to start, with one remaining spot on the left wing still up for grabs. Paris players Desiré Doucé and Barcola are the main contenders. Based on recent form, the latter appears to have a better chance of making the starting lineup for this round of 16 match.
France vs. Sweden Probable Starting Lineup:
Maignan; Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Digne; Rabiot, Tchouameni; Dembélé, Olise, Barcola; Mbappé
