Diego Costa has picked up a hamstring injury

Atletico Madrid were dealt some bad news on Friday, as Diego Costa was found to have injured his left hamstring.

He had to be taken off in the 52nd minute of Los Rojiblancos' match away at Sporting CP on Thursday night and it has been revealed that he has a muscle injury.

The medical tests were carried out at the Clinica Fremap de Majadahonda, although an estimated recovery time has yet to be stated.
