With the world waiting and focusing on Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio's wedding on Saturday in Seville, Diego Simeone and Carla Pereyra had their own secret marriage in Buenos Aires on Friday.
The pair kept it as a surprise and it was only on social media that they announced the news after the event.
"Today, June 14, in an intimate ceremony with our family, we have married civilly," the two posted on Instagram.
"We are very happy!"
LaLiga Santander's September break will allow for them to throw a party in Tuscany, where Diego's son Giovanni lives and plays for Fiorentina.
The marriage is Pereyra's first while it's Simeone's second, having already had three children with Carolina Baldini.
