Does Oscar Rodriguez have a place at Real Madrid?

Oscar Rodriguez is among the best strikers of a ball in LaLiga Santander.

He demonstrated his brilliant freekick technique once again, scoring a late equaliser from distance in Leganes' draw with Real Mallorca on Friday.

That was Oscar's 16th freekick attempt this season and his fourth goal, giving him a 25 percent success rate - the best of anyone in Europe.

Philipp Max of Augsburg is the closest to the Real Madrid loanee with a 23 percent success rate, scoring three freekicks from 13 attempts.

Only Lionel Messi has scored as many as Oscar's four freekick goals in LaLiga Santander this campaign, but the Argentine has done it from 27 attempts.

Oscar's loan at Leganes from Los Blancos is up at the end of this season, but he still has a contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu until 2023.

The 21-year-old's talent is undeniable, especially from a dead ball, but the competition for places in his position at Real Madrid makes it hard to see him staying beyond the summer.

Although Zinedine Zidane could do with a freekick taker, the likes of Luka Modric, Isco, Lucas Vazquez, James Rodriguez and others are still around, plus the potential return of Martin Odegaard.
