Dortmund seeks Adeyemi replacement, hoping to recoup most of transfer fee

According to "Sport," Borussia Dortmund rejected Barcelona's initial offer for Karim Adeyemi, but remains open to negotiations, aiming to secure the highest possible transfer fee before his contract expires next summer.

Reportedly, Barcelona's first bid for Adeyemi was €20 million, which Borussia Dortmund considered insufficient. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Borussia Dortmund hoping to recover most of the €30 million they paid to Leipzig. Barcelona will not match that figure but will return with a higher offer.

Borussia Dortmund has started looking for alternatives for Adeyemi's departure. According to Sky Germany reporter Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund's board will set its sights on Köln player Saïd-Mara, who plays in the same position as Adeyemi. There has already been contact between the two parties, and the atmosphere is positive.

Saïd-Mara's mother, who is also his agent, believes that Borussia Dortmund would be an ideal destination for her son and the players she represents, allowing this player to continue progressing in a top European team. However, a deal between Borussia Dortmund and Köln is still far from finalized.

Adeyemi's sale would accelerate everything, but Borussia Dortmund still needs to reach an agreement with Barcelona first.
