Vinicius Junior's impact is being felt across Europe after a standout display in the Champions League against Ajax on Wednesday night.
He impressed for Real Madrid as they left Amsterdam with a 2-1 victory.
Media outlets from across the continent lined up to pay tribute to him afterwards.
BBC (Great Britain)
Excellent work from Vinicius. At 18, he is the youngest player to make a Champions League knockout phase appearance for Real Madrid, he controlled a long ball on the left wing and cut inside two defenders to square for Karim Benzema to blast home.
In addition, he has already provided eight assists in all competitions for Madrid, more than any of his teammates.
L'Equipe (France)
In addition to setting up Benzema's goal, Vinicius has been the most offensive and dangerous player for Real Madrid. He could have opened the scoring after his fantastic play and powerful shot. Above all, we must highlight his relationship with Sergio Reguilon. Both ensured the left-hand side was the one that Madrid used to make an impact. He helped with his defensive efforts, too, against Noussair Mazraoui and Hakim Ziyech.
Gazzetta dello Sport (Italy)
The Brazilian, despite his age, is one of the few - along with Luka Modric - who didn't suffer from the Dutch pressure.
He forced Andre Onana into a good save and the 18-year-old lit things up in the 60th minute by beating the home side's defence and giving Benzema the chance to score.
De Telegraaf (Netherlands)
Great performance by Vinicius. He left Mazraoui behind and his measured pass was perfect for Benzema.
Daily Mail (Great Britain)
The Brazilian can claim the title of the next superstar at the Santiago Bernabeu. At least that's what many fans are thinking now, after his sublime performance in the last 16 of the Champions League against Ajax.
The role of Vinicius in Amsterdam was crucial for Madrid to win. He assisted Benzema for the first goal and it instantly led to comparisons between him and the world's best.
A Bola (Portugal)
Vinicius Junior is becoming one of the key figures for Real Madrid this season. After being sent to the B team by Julen Lopetegui, he has found a place in the starting line-up under Santiago Solari and is standing out.
Corriere della Sera (Italy)
He is the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo at Madrid and is more powerful than Neymar. The club didn't think too much about investing 45 million euros in him to beat Barcelona to the signing as they noticed the enormous potential, not only technically but also physically and with his personality.

The Brazilian football factory is always amazing, it continues to bring out some of the wonderful names to the game of football. Vin's comparisons to Messi or Ronaldo are unfounded and premature, don't put unnecessary pressure on the young lad. My view is he has other young footballers to compare him with in his generation gap like Mbappe, Arthur, De Jong. Comparisons to Ronaldo Neymar, Messi should not be peddled around he's light years behind these guys and he has to show his talent consistently for the next 4 seasons. That said he's an exciting young and raw talent with potential to excel higher in his career if he kept his head low.

this media will kill this young Vinicius before he get to the top...why can't you people just stop compering him to Ronaldo this is his first season in Europe and he is doing very well leave him alone and stop saying he is this and that you people are putting more pressure on him he has along way to go because we have seen other young players who started the same way and people start to compare them to Messi and Ronaldo and after one season those young players are no where to be found again so please let Vinicius be he is very good player with great future but if we put pressure on him and he start to feel that he is equally to those player he is being compere to that is when the problem start to come and you will that he start to lose focus it's not good for Vinicius to be compared to Ronaldo or any other player

Personally, i dont like vinicius because of his terrible personality. not to say he wont be a great player with good skills, but i see his ceiling at around Quaresma's level. I think Real have an even betterbrazilian youngster, Rodrygo. good character, and terrific on the field, i can see him be a top 3 of his generation with ease, no joke. if he is able to get comfortable with Real's playing style, he will be a joy to watch even for rival fans
