Palmeiras midfielder Felipe Melo gave an interview to the newspaper 'Clarín' in which he shows his favor to Messi and revealed how they tried to stop the Argentine captain when at Brazil national team.
"Messi is a unique player. When we are with the Brazilian national team and played against him, we said 'we have to kick him once each, we have to take turns.' I'm not saying kicking him to hurt him, it is a tactical faul, cutting his pace, making him bothered.” said Felipe Melo, who called Messi 'the best in history' and filled him with praise.
"I can't say anything about Pelé because I didn't see him play. And from Maradona I have the memory of the 90 World Cup when they beat Brazil with the goal of Caniggia. I understand why CR7 fans can't agree. It's difficult to accept that another player is better than your favourite player. But that shd not make us blind to the truth despite our preference. "CR7 can score 5 goals ,so can Messi ..." The difference is Messi also makes his teammates "better " with passes, assists ,etc. CR7 can assist ,can make his teammates play better ...Messi JUST does it with more and better quality.
