Ex-Colombia vice-president proposes pact to hate Zidane for James' situation

James Rodriguez's future at Real Madrid remains uncertain and Colombia's former vice-president, Humberto de la Calle, has given his say on the matter by jokingly proposing a national pact of hatred against Zinedine Zidane.

De la Calle, who was one of the country's top negotiators in the peace talks between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), took to social media to refer to his compatriot, who is not part of his coach's plans for next season.

"I propose a National Pact: if we are doomed to hate, then let's agree to hate Zidane," he posted on Twitter before later deleting his tweet.

"Long live James!"

Both Atletico Madrid and Napoli have expressed their interest in the attacking midfielder, but neither have reached an agreement with Los Blancos.
