Former Juventus coach Fabio Capello has joked Gigi Buffon feared only one thing - bees!
The Juve great announced his retirement yesterday at the age of 45 and still under contract with Parma.
Capello said: "I was lucky enough to coach him, he's a great goalkeeper and an excellent person. I put him together with Dino Zoff among the legends: with their personality and their technical skills they gave tranquility to the defence. He had only one flaw: he was afraid of bees...
"Once in training he didn't want to play because there were bees on the pitch and he didn't want to dive. I sent him to the locker room, but after 5 minutes he came back on the pitch and played.
"He didn't have weak points from a technical point of view, this was the only one. He would also be number one in today's football, the goalkeeper must first save and then know how to play with his feet."
