Cesc Fabregas wasn't in agreement with the referee's decision to bring play back for a foul by Idrissa Gueye, after Thibaut Courtois was initially penalised for taking down Mauro Icardi.
The referee originally gave a freekick to Paris Saint-Germain for a foul on the edge of the Real Madrid penalty area before sending Courtois off.
After consulting VAR, the freekick and red card were overturned and play was restarted with a freekick to Los Blancos on the halfway line for Gueye's foul on Marcelo.
"Forgetting colours for a second," Fabregas tweeted, realising some may simply look at his comments as a former Barcelona player.
"How can you give a freekick for this light touch?
"I can understand if you give it at first look... but going to the [VAR] TV and still thinking it's a foul... where there isn't [one], there isn't.
"The same with Courtois' red card, [it's a] yellow at the most. Madre mia..."
Toni Freixa, ex directivo del Barça, también se pronunció.

The decision by the referee decision to give Courtois red card was wrong because it was not a possible goal obstruction a PSG definder has already covered up. so it should have been yellow card. Seconderly VAR has not authority to cancel the card base on Gueye foul which was done during the buildup of Courtois foul. VAR has four responsibility and they include 1 mistaking identity 2 goal and no goal 3 peniaty and 4 red card.

The opponent made no challenge for the ball that was in Marcelo's direction and pushed him from the back without playing the ball. So, with all the professional football Fabregas played he doesn't still know any challenge from the back without making contact with the ball is illegal? Come on mehn Fabregas, please don't give analysis on issues like John Terry did about Salah and Kelvin Debruna time on Chelsea wherein everybody who's following football will termed it as baseless

Barca boys old or new can only see one thing that Gueye played the whole match without arms.
