Brahim Diaz lit up an otherwise drab affair at Getafe on Thursday by dazzling Real Madrid supporters with his flicks, tricks and one sensational nutmeg.
Real were held to a goalless draw by Jose Bordalas' side who continue their remarkable run towards an incredible top-four finish.
They pulled Madrid into a physical contest and the 13-time European Cup winners struggled to show their creative edge - with the exception of Diaz.
The 19-year-old forward started on the right-hand side of a front three featuring Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, but it was the former Manchester City man who stood out.
And fans were quick to heap praise on the January acquisition, with many left in awe at his deftness of touch.
Diaz moved to Spanish capital in January, following in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho by opting to leave the Etihad in search of better prospects elsewhere.
Real Madrid would not be the first choice of a club for a player seeking more first-team exposure but Diaz has not been daunted by the challenge of staking a claim in Zinedine Zidane's side, with Madrid's tumultuous campaign aiding his cause.
Diaz has already made 11 appearances for Real - four shy of his total in a Manchester City shirt - but this was only his second in La Liga.
He cost Los Blancos just £15.5million, although that could rise to £22million, however if his performance against Getafe is anything to go by, that could turn out to be quite a bargain.
And coach Zinedine Zidane praised the wonderkid after the draw at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
'I am happy with his progress, he had a great game,' said the French coach. 'He likes to play and I love fearless players. He is two-footed and quick.'
He added: 'He had a good game but had to come off due to cramp.
'He played well and I am happy, I love how he plays. Let's see what happens next year. The key thing is what happened today.'
