Fans mock Busquets and Cillessen after Barca stars take synchronised fall

Fans have mocked Barcelona duo Sergio Busquets and Jasper Cillessen after their synchronised fall against Levante in the Copa Del Rey.

The pair jostled with Levante's Chema whilst waiting for a corner and then both fell over backwards with what looked like minimal contact.

People on social media picked up on the incident and took the opportunity to make fun of the La Liga stars.

It's coming up to Oscar season and one person thought the duo might be up for an award by saying: 'And the Oscar goes to...'

There were many unhappy football fans and another person said: 'Some awful acting by Cillessen and Busquets, it's embarrassing.'

Barcelona lost the first leg 2-1 after Erick Cabaco and Borja Mayoral scored to put the hosts 2-0 up inside 20 minutes.

Former Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho gave the visitors a lifeline by converting a penalty with five minutes to go.

This incident only seemed to pile the misery on the Catalan giants as people continued to take a pop at the duo.

One person said: 'What the hell was that double dive from Cillessen and Busquets? Pathetic team.'

Another found it quite amusing as they said 'Looool Cillessen and Busquets peak playacting' with six laughing and crying emojis.

Some people did defend the Barcelona stars, however.

One person said: 'It's pretty obvious that the Levante player did punch Busquets and elbow Cillessen.

'Not hard, but most football players would've gone down. But let's take it from a bad angle to promote your agenda, eh?'

While another said: 'Not sure about Busquets but Cillessen clearly was elbowed.'
