Fans mock Infantino after spotting his 'tragic' personalised FIFA trainers

As the president of FIFA, you'd imagine that being able to be presentable would be your best attribute - but clearly not for Gianni Infantino.

The FIFA president has already annoyed everyone with his ludicrous "Today, I feel disabled" speech and his plans to change the current Club World Cup system. But that is not his biggest crime by any stretch.

Wearing white trainers with a suit should automatically result in a prison sentence - but to make it even more cringe, Infantino has had his sneakers personalised... with a FIFA logo.

The 52-year-old (yes, 52) sported the custom-made Adidas trainers during the World Cup third-place playoff between Croatia and Morocco. The European side emerged victorious over this year's surprise package with a 2-1 win.

As the Swiss-Italian football administrator congratulated the Croatians, many spotted his footwear - which had the word 'FIFA' written down the side. And fans could not help but mock the midlife-crisis man.

One Twitter user said: "Infantino's shoes are so tragic."

Another wrote: "Gianni Infantino always looks like a lad in a suit whose 'good shoes' are killing him so he wears his runners for watching the footie and getting his steps in."

A third posted: "Fifa, you need to get rid of Infantino purely for wearing white trainers with a suit."

They were not alone, with this fan saying: "Infantino: suit, tie and white trainers. Like wearing shoes in the swimming pool." And this fan said: "White trainers with a massive logo on the tongue. Mmmm."

Whether Infant-ino decides to don the same trainers on Sunday remains to be seen ahead of the World Cup final. The FIFA chief will be handing medals out to whoever emerges victorious between France and Argentina.
