Whilst there was controversy over the RFEF's decision to move the Supercopa de Espana to Saudi Arabia, making it a four-team tournament in the process, the joy of winning the trophy wasn't lost at all, as was proven by Fede Valverde's wild celebration of Sergio Ramos' winning penalty.

Valverde had previously made headlines of his own with a very late foul on Alvaro Morata that saw the Uruguayan shown a red card, hence why he was watching the penalty shoot-out from the stands.
The official twitter account of RFEF posted some previously unseen images of Valverde reacting to the decisive penalty, whilst Alvaro Odriozola, Nacho Fernandez and the rest of the unselected substitutes did the same.
