Ferran Torres: it’s always good when teams want you; I can wait and make my own decision

Ferran Torres was interviewed by Sportico while on vacation in the United States, where he discussed rumors linking him to Paris and his future.

When asked about potential interest from teams such as PSG, he said: "It's always good when these teams want you. I'm currently playing for Barcelona, and I still have a contract with the club. It's true that in the world of football, you never know what will happen. Because I have a contract, I can wait and make my own decisions. Ultimately, everything depends on negotiations."

These remarks mirror what he said on the American show "Today Show." At the time, he also left his future open-ended: "I have a contract with Barcelona, but in the world of football, you never know what will happen."

Club and Player's Position

Barcelona's stance is firm: if a contract extension cannot be agreed, the club intends to sell him this summer to avoid him leaving as a free agent on June 30 next year. Although the board has stated that it hopes "Ferran Torres will continue to be with us," the transfer market appears to be pointing in another direction.

In the same American interview, when the host pressed him on his dream club, his answer was clear and concise: "I just want to be happy."
