Ferran Torres' transfer fee could affect Barcelona's pursuit of Rodri

According to Cadena SER, Barcelona's current transfer operations are in a three-way tug-of-war. Rodri and Ferran Torres have both reached agreements with their respective clubs on personal terms, but Barcelona, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain still need to negotiate the final transfer fees.

From the current progress, the deal for Ferran Torres to leave Barcelona is likely to be completed before Rodri joins. Barcelona currently values the Valencia winger at 50-55 million euros and has already rejected Paris Saint-Germain's initial offer of 40 million euros.

However, Paris has not given up on signing Ferran. The French giants are expected to submit a second offer in the coming hours, with the amount likely to be closer to Barcelona's asking price. Both sides are currently still negotiating the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Barcelona submitted its first offer for Rodri to Manchester City last weekend, totaling 50 million euros with a fixed transfer fee plus add-ons. But Manchester City believes there is still a significant gap between this offer and their valuation of the Spanish midfielder. It is understood that Manchester City's asking price for Rodri is around 60 million euros.

Therefore, the final sale price of Ferran Torres may, to some extent, affect Barcelona's pursuit of Rodri. Barcelona hopes to obtain sufficient funds by selling Ferran to create room for signing Rodri.

However, for now, Rodri's transfer has not yet entered the final stages. Barcelona's top priority at this stage is to finalize Ferran Torres's departure before further pushing negotiations with Manchester City on Rodri's transfer fee.
