Figo: Liverpool fans impressed me the most; Roberto Carlos and Maldini were my toughest opponents

Former Barcelona and Real Madrid player Luis Figo believes Athletic Club's San Mamés stadium might have the best atmosphere in Spain.

A few days ago, the Portuguese winger attended LaLiga's EA SPORTS global launch event in New York, which was also attended by league legends such as Marcelo, Rivaldo, and Mascherano.

After the event, Figo participated in a brief interview conducted by journalist Sofía Ramírez. When asked which fans impressed him most, Figo said: "It's always hard to choose, but perhaps Liverpool fans."

When asked about the Spanish stadium with the best atmosphere in his memory, Figo replied: "If I don't mention Barcelona's home ground or Real Madrid's home ground, then perhaps it's San Mamés."

Figo also stated that his favorite city to live in is Lisbon. When asked about his best teammate, he chose Pauleta.

Figo revealed that the toughest opponents he faced were Roberto Carlos and Paolo Maldini. When asked about his most spectacular goal, he said: "That's an easy one, because I didn't score many goals, so it's the one I scored for Portugal against England in the European Championship."

Finally, Figo discussed his current favorite players: "Bellingham, Mbappé, Olise, and Vinícius..."
