Flamengo have confirmed that Pablo Mari will be leaving the club after Arsenal agreed a deal for the centre-back.
The 26-year-old has flown to Arsenal to officially join the Gunners on loan until the end of the season for a fee of £4million. Arsenal will have the option to purchase Mari permanently.
In a post on Twitter, Flamengo said: "The time has come to say goodbye to this defender who arrived at Flamengo to make his mark in our history with the titles of Conmebol Libertadores and the Brazilian Championship."
"Pablo Mari, thanks for everything."
