As Real Madrid prepares to return to the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony, a significant absentee is expected from the club. According to The Athletic, club president Florentino Pérez is not on the list of attendees traveling to London for the event.
The Real Madrid delegation is expected to include key players and staff members. British media reported that the Real Madrid locker room firmly believes Mbappé will lift the trophy.

Perez hasn’t travelled out of disgust, for he knows Mbappe should be awarded the trophy and every result of awards get leaked, or players are told that it’s imperative that they attend, obviously Mbappe hasn’t and i believe Kane has. We know Yamal has won the young players award.

Mbappe has been the best and most consistent player for me. You don’t win anything without your teammates. Plus the German League is a 1 team competition.
