Former Barca Defender: Gordon is a perfect fit for Barcelona

Former Barcelona defender Miguel Nadal believes Gordon is a perfect fit for Barcelona and is not concerned about Rashford's destination.

Barcelona signed Gordon for £69.3 million last summer, a deal that also ruled Rashford out of transfer plans, with the latter expected to remain at Manchester United for the new season. Rashford scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 49 official matches during his loan spell at Barcelona last season, winning the league title and the Spanish Super Cup with the team. However, Barcelona ultimately did not activate his £26 million release clause, opting instead to sign Gordon, who is currently preparing for pre-season training starting this month.

Nadal said: "I don't know where Rashford will end up, but it's not a big problem because he is a very talented player. Gordon joining Barcelona? From what I know about Barcelona, it's not just about player ability, but more importantly about adapting to a more structured playing style. Given his age and experience, I think he is a very good fit. He is joining a team capable of competing for the Champions League title."
