Daniel Horcas, the former coach of Takefusa Kubo and Ansu Fati at Barcelona famed La Masia academy, believes that the Japanese playmaker shares some similarities with Lionel Messi, but that he would rather keep Fati.
Kubo and Fati were teammates at Barcelona between 2012 and 2015, but Kubo left for FC Tokyo in 2015 due to a FIFA ban imposed on the Blaugrana before then joining Real Madrid this summer.
"Kubo is more like Messi, but I would keep Ansu Fati," Horcas told the TV show 'El Chiringuito de Jugones'.
When discussing Fati, Horcas explains that the 16-year-old had some difficulties whilst at La Masia.
"He's always been a different player," Horcas noted.
"It was a difficult time [when Horcas was coaching Ansu Fati], he went a year without playing [due to the aforementioned FIFA ban imposed on the club].
"We had to organise friendlies so that he could play."

even I prefer ansu fati. the 16 year old has got lots of talent and skills. one day, he will create history. Messi's successor. ansu fati- the prince. the right man for Barça after Messi retires.

In my point of view Kubo is nothing in front of Ansu Fati
