Former Osasuna captain Patxi Punal has maintained that he is not aware of any cases of match-fixing while he was member of the team.

His statement at the court comes after former Osasuna director Angel Luis Vizcay claimed that the Pamplona-based side were involved in match-fixing in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons.

Punal confirmed that he delivered 230,000 euros of bonuses to the rest of his teammates.

As he explained, the bonuses were divided in two instalments of 100,000 euros and 130,000 euros, and he didn't sign any receipt with the club for the total amount.

Regarding the alleged match-fixing, Punal made clear that he never heard neither talks nor rumours about fixed games and that he wants to leave that in the past and turn the page.

"What the body asks of me is that the one who has done something pays for it," Punal noted.

"Leave it behind and let's talk about football, now that Osasuna are very good in sporting terms."
