Gabriel: I haven't seen kangaroos yet, but I spoke with Raphinha and he's fine

Arsenal's Brazilian defender Gabriel spoke to reporters about the Brazilian national team's trip to Australia and their upcoming matches in India.

On Australia:

I think the most important thing is to express our gratitude to everyone for all the love and warm welcome, including here in Brisbane. I felt that in all three locations, we received an extremely warm reception, and we sincerely want to thank everyone for that.

Did you have a chance to see any kangaroos in Australia?

No, I haven't had that opportunity yet. But some of the players have seen them and even taken photos with them.

On young players:

As I mentioned before, we have a group of new players competing for positions based on merit. For the young players, we hope to integrate them as quickly as possible, because if we are to make decisions about these spots, we need to know exactly how to implement them. We're making good progress in this regard, and it also helps build confidence among everyone. I believe the most important aspect of this training camp is making them feel welcome and instilling confidence in them.

Regarding Raphinha's absence, how much did the team miss him? Can you talk about your conversation with him?

Raphinha is fine. I spoke with him, and he's doing well. Although he has left the team, he is in perfect condition.

What are your expectations for the match against India? The atmosphere should be very enthusiastic, just like here in Australia, and India is the most populous country in the world. This will also be the first encounter between the two national teams. What are your expectations? Are you looking forward to this match?

That's a lot to address. I think everyone understands the importance of this match. Every match—we all know what it always means for us Brazilians.
