Garay, Gaya and Parejo know how to beat Real Madrid

It's been only two years since Valencia's last victory over Real Madrid at the Estadio Mestalla, however there has been huge changes for Marcelino's charges since then with only Ezequiel Garay, Jose Gaya and Dani Parejo remaining from that win.

Carlos Soler played briefly back in February 2017, whilst Rodrigo Moreno missed the match due to a broken ankle, other than that the entire Valencia squad is completely different.

Huge change both on and off the pitch has occurred at the Estadio Mestalla since then with the club looking to get back on track.

A hugely destabilising period alienated supporters and there has since been the resignation of president, Layhoon Chan, replaced by Anil Murthy.

Marcelino has since been hired, whilst Mateu Alemany is working as the club's Director of Football ever since the exit of Jose Ramon Alexanco.

Simone Zaza and Fabian Orellana scored on that occasion, yet neither are at the club any longer with Torino and Eibar taking the two players respectively.

Valencia head into Wednesday's match in fairly good spirits with their recent form catapulting the club back into contention for Champions League qualification, however it must be said that in the past 20 years, there has only been six home victories over Los Merengues for Valencia.
