Gareth Bale met with the media on Saturday night following LAFC's 2-nil victory over Sporting Kansas City.
Bale made his second MLS appearance when he entered the match in the 65th minute and scored his first MLS goal in the 83rd minute, converting a feed from Cristian Arango.
"Obviously I think the most important thing is we won the game, first and foremost. Yeah, we all knew the first half wasn't good enough but, yeah, the manager had another great team talk and got us going and, yeah, great finish by Chicho and, yeah, nice to come on and grab a goal to help the team to get there three points so from a personal point of view it's nice to get off the mark and more importantly get the three points."
"The transition has been normal, what I expected - it's going to take some time but, yeah, obviously it's the end of the season ... well, I would be in preseason now in Europe so I'm getting my fitness back up quickly. The club's doing an amazing job to kind of progress me and not push me too quick so, yeah, I'm starting to feel better and better each day's training as it goes on and, yeah, glad to contribute tonight."
"Definitely, I think it was always going to take some getting used to to play with new players so, but yeah, I think we understand each other very well. I think good forward players always work off each other and know where to be off the ball and on the ball so, yeah, they've been amazing since I've been here - both great players and, yeah, hopefully we can keep gelling and scoring a lot more goals together."
