Getafe President: We need a center-back to leave if we want to sign Ramos in January

Carvajal was the last "soldier" under Bordalás. Just six days after his official announcement, the full-back went straight into Getafe's starting lineup for his debut. At the Coliseum, he quickly won over fans with his work rate, commitment, and likability.

The competitive spirit and high standards of the former Real Madrid player perfectly aligned with the coaching style of the Alicante-based manager. Bordalás was delighted to have such a player, as he perfectly embodied his football philosophy.

However, Carvajal might not be joining alone. His former teammate and close friend Sergio Ramos could also follow in his footsteps and join the Azulones' project.

After the 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano at the Coliseum, Ángel Torres spoke candidly to "El Larguero". The Getafe president, who had previously revealed the timeline for Dani Carvajal's transfer, was equally clear when discussing the potential signings of free agents Sergio Ramos and Parejo.

"If Parejo wants to, he can sign with Getafe," Torres said, confirming that there had been contact between both parties and making it clear that the decision largely rested with the midfielder.

The Azulones president also opened the door for Sergio Ramos. The center-back has not played an official match since ending his spell with Monterrey last December.

However, he has been consistently training to maintain his fitness, showcasing it daily on social media. To return to LaLiga, he will have to wait until the winter transfer window opens.

"In January, and a center-back must leave first."

Bordalás already has plenty of options at center-back (Romero, Abqar, Boselli, Digne, Sazonov, and Yves Valou), so this move would only be feasible if the club first frees up a spot.

Ángel Torres explained: "Ramos's signing must happen in January, and a center-back must leave first." He also did not hide his interest in the defender: "If there's an opportunity, I'll sign him."

The Getafe coach has also requested reinforcements in other positions, but the arrival of Ramos would bring significant quality and experience to Getafe's defense.
