Real Madrid star Mbappe is expected to break a record held by Messi when his team faces Roma in the second round of the Champions League group stage this week, according to Goal.com.
Mbappe has played 99 Champions League matches for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid. If he plays against Roma today, it will be his 100th appearance.
According to UEFA's official website, Mbappe will become the youngest player in Champions League history to reach 100 appearances, surpassing Messi's record.
Mbappe is currently 27 years and 298 days old, while Messi was 28 years and 84 days old when he played his 100th Champions League match for Barcelona.
