Gorka Larrea: Lopetegui lacked the little smile of Solari and Zidane

Julen Lopetegui was sacked as Real Madrid coach at the end of October and Gorka Larrea, who knows the Basque well, has spoken about the tactician's time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The former Real Sociedad player compared Lopetegui to his predecessor Zinedine Zidane and his successor Santiago Solari.

"I really liked Lopetegui and would defend him to the end," he told Radio MARCA.

"But Lopetegui lacked the half smile of Solari or of Zidane.

"In the end, results are what matter."

Larrea also spoke about his beloved Real Sociedad and said he'd love to see them win a title again.
