According to "Sport," the Valencia regional government inspected the new Mestalla stadium this Monday. Valencia will move into its new home in 2027.

The inspection is part of the Large Special Works Prevention Action Plan (AIPOS), a technical support project by the Valencia Community Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (INVASSAT), aiming to ensure that the region's most iconic buildings meet safety and health standards higher than those required by law.

Valencia General Manager Javier Solís and Operations and Infrastructure Director Christian Schneider presented the project's progress to representatives of the Valencia regional government, as well as to officials from FCC Construcción, which is responsible for finishing the work.

After the presentation, both parties toured the site together. In addition to Susana Camarero, the Valencia regional government delegation included Antonio Galvany, Undersecretary for Employment Affairs, and María Lurueña, Director General of Labor and INVASSAT.

"A stadium the fans deserve"

After visiting the new Mestalla, Susana Camarero spoke about the importance of coordinated cooperation between the club, FCC Construcción, and the Valencia regional government. She said: "We are here to check the progress of the project, which is very close to completion. For the regional government, occupational risk prevention is paramount. We need to confirm that this large-scale project meets all requirements for occupational safety and health. We also saw today that the coordination with INVASSAT is very smooth. INVASSAT and the constructors are working closely not only to make this stadium worthy of the city but also to ensure the safety of the workers involved in its construction."

The First Vice President and Commissioner for Housing, Employment, Youth, and Equality also reviewed the project's progress, especially the roof section. She highlighted this point before emphasizing the project's value. The new stadium will enter its final year of construction this summer. She said: "We see the roof gradually rising, and we also asked about the occupational risks associated with this process. The Valencia regional government is coordinating these efforts to ensure the project is completed smoothly as planned and without any accidents. Everyone is very much looking forward to Valencia getting this new stadium on schedule, and we hope it will be fully protected with preventive measures. This will be a stadium that the fans, the city of Valencia, and the entire autonomous community deserve."
