Griezmann's nostalgic message to football fans

No LaLiga Santander game has been played with fans' presence since last March and Antoine Griezmann has taken to social media to express his dismay about the current situation and send a message to football supporters.

His message has been applauded shared and commented on by thousands of followers, who haven't been able to attend football games in several months due to the coronavirus crisis that has forced leagues to hold games behind closed doors.

"Children, fathers, mothers, grandparents, grandmothers, fans of any team, especially those of Barcelona," wrote Griezmann. "You are being missed."

Despite the fact that at first UEFA pointed out that fans could attend Champions League matches, the evolution of the pandemic in the last month didn't help, with the situation being especially delicate, especially in Spain, one of the countries most affected by the virus.

Griezmann, who is being criticised for his lack of cutting edge, has played in eight of Barcelona's nine games so far this season and has scored once, in the 1-1 draw with Alaves.
