Borussia Dortmund slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday afternoon, which left them in almost impossible position in the Bundesliga title race, yet they were forced to be without Erling Haaland for the last part of the second half after he suffered an injury.
The 19-year-old striker was withdrawn in the 72nd minute of play with the hosts in desperate search of a goal that would cancel out Joshua Kimmich's stupendous first-half chip over Roman Burki.
However, according to journalist and former player Jan Aage Fjortoff, there was a rather bizarre reason for Haaland's injury.
"Haaland collided with the referee [Tobias Stieler] and twisted his knee, that's why he was substituted," Fjortoff explained.

That can work too.... Though it's only through the official with whom you can stop the guy without getting booked or giving out a free kick
You’re acting like Davies can only foul him but Haaland was invincible lmao. If you saw the game you’d see how Haaland missed open goals and how Davies kept him on his pocket while attacking
