Hamann reveals that Bayern might reject an offer of over €200 million for Olise, and if the player wants to transfer to Real Madrid, he needs to proactively request to leave.
Real Madrid has been searching for a new "Galáctico" superstar, and reports suggest they are willing to pay a record transfer fee for Olise, reportedly over €200 million (approximately £171 million / $231 million). However, these plans have been put on hold, as Vinícius Júnior recently signed a lucrative new contract. At the same time, Real Madrid has also bolstered their wing depth by signing Ivorian winger Jan-Diomande for €140 million (approximately £120 million / $162 million). Real Madrid currently doesn't need to spend heavily to acquire Olise in this transfer window, though they may reconsider the option in the future. The 24-year-old has reportedly been intrigued by the interest from the Bernabéu.
Real Madrid's interest in Olise is understandable—he contributed 66 goals or assists for club and country in the 2025-26 season, was instrumental in Bayern's Bundesliga titles, and performed exceptionally well with Mbappé at the 2026 World Cup.
When asked if the "favor" from the Spanish capital would concern Bayern, former Bayern midfielder Hamann told Goal: "He still has two or three years on his contract. Uli Hoeneß has clearly said no way, because they always emphasize that they are not a selling club. They will only sell when they want to sell."
"He is the most outstanding player in the team. Bayern has no intention to sell him. But if the player himself comes to Bayern and says 'I want to leave,' then it might be a different matter. But Diomande is already going from Leipzig to Real Madrid, and unless Vinícius leaves, I don't see Olise going there either."
"I think Olise will return to training in the next few days after the team returns from Asia. Once he starts training here, I think a transfer will be difficult. I'm quite sure that Olise will still be a Bayern player next season."
Previous reports indicated that Real Madrid was prepared to pay €223 million (approximately £191 million / $258 million) for Olise, which would make him the most expensive player ever—surpassing Neymar's transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
When asked whether Bayern could refuse such an offer despite their reluctance to sell, Hamann added: "They refused an offer of almost €100 million for Ribéry back then, 10 to 15 years ago. I don't remember which club it was—it seemed to be an English team, maybe Manchester United. Ribéry asked the board to consider it, but they said no."
"So if a €200 million offer really comes and the player wants to leave, then it might be a different situation. I think everything depends on the player. If the player goes to the board and says 'I want to go somewhere else,' then things will change."
"Real Madrid has obviously contacted Olise, and they certainly know how much it would cost to get him out of Munich. So we are talking about €180 million, €200 million. I think this can only become relevant if the player himself emphasizes 'I want to leave.' Otherwise, Bayern won't even talk to anyone."
Olise's contract with Bayern runs until summer 2029, which raises the asking price and removes any pressure on Bayern to consider selling this valuable asset. The former Crystal Palace star is expected to play alongside Harry Kane in the 2026-27 season, with Bayern also targeting the Champions League title. However, this highly creative attacker may move to the Spanish capital at some point in his career.

With Mbappe, Vini and Diamonde, we don't need Olise for now. We should look for a proven playmaker/defensive Midfielder

I strongly advice Olise to stay at Bayern because if goes to Real Mamie, Mourinho and co will teach him Martial arts and Kung Fu.

In as much as Madrid need an Olise to pair with Mbappe there is still a gap created by modric and Toni Kross in the midfield which must be filed
that why we need rodri
