Hamann believes Bayern Munich should prioritize signing Rashford, who is technically skilled, possesses excellent shooting ability, and can play almost all attacking positions.
In an interview, Hamann said: "Should Bayern Munich move to sign Marcus Rashford? The answer is yes.
I really admire this player; he is very talented. I followed him when he first joined Barcelona on loan, not only scoring many wonderful goals but also cooperating very well with his teammates. The current situation is indeed somewhat unexpected."
According to reports, signing Gordon this summer would cost at least £70 million, while Rashford's transfer fee would be much lower. Barcelona's loan contract includes a £26 million buyout clause, and even if Rashford ultimately seeks another club, the transfer fee would likely remain at this level.
In terms of cost-effectiveness alone, Rashford is very attractive to Bayern Munich. However, some sources indicate that Bayern Munich has no intention of changing their target and signing Rashford instead.
Even so, Hamann still elaborated on why he believes Rashford would be a better signing option than Gordon.
He added: "Rashford is technically skilled, possesses excellent shooting ability, has a crisp and powerful strike, and is very quick off the mark. He can play almost all attacking positions.
If I had to choose, I would prioritize signing Rashford over Gordon. In my opinion, Gordon is too talented to be a substitute.
Rashford achieved fame at a young age and is now eager to prove himself again. He is inherently strong, and with a transfer fee of only £25 million to £30 million, it would definitely be a bargain for Bayern Munich."
