Havoc on Barça's trip to Las Vegas as they suffer yet another set back in the US

With the match against Juventus at San Jose having to be suspended due to an intestinal virus that affected a large part of the squad and the state of the pitch in the Los Angeles game against Arsenal left much to be desired, Xavi's team today suffered yet another setback. Their flight from Dallas to Las Vegas had a delay of more than four hours, which meant that no player could attend the media and that the training session before the match against Milan at the Allegiant Stadium was suspended.

Barça had already changed their initial flight schedule from eleven in the morning to four in the afternoon Dallas time and encountered a couple of hurdles upon arrival at the airport. First, the plane that was to transport the entire squad was late arriving from Canada. Then, a sandstorm in Las Vegas caused two more hours of accumulated delay.

As a result, the plane arrived in Las Vegas around 9 p.m. local time. Initially, although the players had spent three hours on the plane waiting for their departure from Dallas, it was thought that they would go to the stadium for a stretching session, but this was cancelled because the kits had not yet arrived.
